Flag Raising Ceremony

The Flag Raising Ceremony was held in the Morning Assembly. Affected by the epidemic, F.1-3 students watched the live broadcast in the classroom, while F.4-5 students lined up in the playground to watch the ceremony. After the flag raising, Mr. Chan Ka Ki, the Chinese Language Panel Head, delivered a speech under the national flag with the theme of the Dragon Boat Festival, so that students could understand the origin of the Dragon Boat Festival and its traditional customs.

Chinese Week
The Chinese Language Panel organized the Chinese Week, which aims to enhance students' knowledge of Chinese language and culture, cultivate correct values, and provide students with a platform to showcase their talents. Due to the epidemic, related activities and competitions were held in Morning Assemblies at all levels, including: 1C Class Presentation on their understanding of traditional values with the theme of "filial piety"; F.2 Inter-class Chinese Quiz competition; F.3 watching the F.4 Inter-class Chinese Public Speaking Contest with the theme of "The Way of Making Friends"; and F.5 talk on "How to Apply Confucianism and Taoism to Cope with Adversity in Life". In addition, the Chinese Society set up an exhibition board in the covered playground with the theme of "Traditional Festivals and Hong Kong Society" to enhance students' understanding of traditional festivals and culture.
Chinese Language Elite Program (2021/2022

Our students participated in the "Chinese Language Elite Program (2021/2022)" commissioned by the Gifted Education Section of the Curriculum Development Institute of the Education Bureau and organized by the Chinese Language Education Research Association. 1C Fung Tsz Shun Michelle won the "Elite Bronze Award".

Life Education Periods
Our school organized activities at all levels, including: F.1 "Green Campus Tour" and school-based civic education lesson on "Say No to Internet Addiction", F.2 Positive Growth lesson, F.3 talk on environmental education, F.4 school-based civic education lesson on "Cyberbullying and Personal Privacy Protection" and F.5 Life Planning Workshop "Dreamcrafters".

The 16th Community Youth Club Sha Tin District Go Competition
The 16th Community Youth Club Sha Tin District Go Competition was held in the assembly hall. There were 44 student participants from seven primary and secondary schools. 3B Tang Ka Yi won the second runner-up in the secondary school category, 2D Yu Ka Yi, 2D Jin Young, 3D Wong Hing Tai and 6D Zhang Jason Zhishen attained the Merit Award. Retired teacher Mr. Man Lai Shan served as the chief judge, and retired teacher Mr. Chong Shui Sang and the then teacher Mr. Lam Siu Kai served as judges. Alumni served as volunteers. Ms. Chan Nga Lai, the Principal showed her presence as one of the guests of honour.

Choral Training Workshop
A 3-day Choral Training Workshop conducted by experienced choir conductors, Ms. Wong Cheuk Yee and Mr. Cho Wing Ho was organized for the School Choir members. To improve students' choral performance techniques and boost their interest in choral singing, members practised choral singing of movie theme songs and Cantopop songs and learnt choral vocal techniques through different games and exercises.
Elite Cup of National Youth Language Knowledge Competition 2021-2022 (Hong Kong Region)
Our students participated in the Writing Competition of the Elite Cup of National Youth Language Knowledge Competition 2021-2022 (Hong Kong Region) and received a total of 15 awards including two First Class Honours, five Second Class Honours and right Third Class Honours.

Hong Kong Inter-school Athletics Competition 2021-2022
Ng Hei Yu, F.2D, received the Third Runner-up in Grade C 200 m in the Hong Kong Inter-School Athletics Competition 2021-2022 organised by the Hong Kong Schools Sports Federation Shatin & Sai Kung Secondary Schools Area Committee.
Life Education Periods
F.1 to F.3 students presented their project learning with the guidance of their teacher advisors while F.4 to F.5 students attended an anti-drug talk hosted by the School Liaison Officer of the Police School Liaison Programme and a drama, "Hell of Drugs", performed by Bravo Theatre.

Parents Talk and Meetings with Class Teachers
A Parents Talk, "6A Character Education: Acceptance and Praise" conducted by Ms. Ng Hing Fong, a "6A Character Education" certified trainer of Hong Kong Character City was organised by the school and the Parent Teacher Association. After the distribution of Second Performance Reports, parents had meetings with the class teachers to discuss the development and learning of students.
Chinese Language Elite Programme 2021-2022
Fung Tsz Shun Michelle, F.1C, received the Bronze Elite Prize in the Chinese Language Elite Programme 2021-2022 initiated by the Gifted Education Team of the Education Bureau Curriculum Development Institute and organized by the Chinese Language Education Research Association.
STEM+E Competition
Wong Chung Hi, F.3A, was awarded the Most Valuable Team Member Award in the STEM+E Competition jointly organised by the STEM+E Consortium, CyberPort and Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation and Department of Business of Hong Kong Science and Technology University.
74th Hong Kong Schools Music Festival
Our students received a total of 24 prizes in the 74th Hong Kong Schools Music Festival, including First Runner-up, Gold Award and Wah Kong Cantonese Operatic Song Education Fund Award in Secondary Senior Section Solo of Cantonese Operatic Song, First Runner-up and Silver Award in Piano Grade Five Solo, First Runner-up and Silver Prize in Piano Grade Five Solo, Silver Award in Zhongruan Solo (Senior), Silver Award in Erhu Solo (Advanced) and Silver Award in Sheng Solo (Junior), etc. Students had outstanding performances and therefore the numbers of awards in the festival reached a record high.

Personal Finance Literacy Competition 2022
Our students, Wong Chi Ping(Leader), Chan Ho Long, Cheung Ue Ching Vinci, Fung Kai Ki and Lam Pui Yin, F.4D, won the First Runner-up of Short Video/Audio Story Competition organised by the School of Business and Department of Economics and Finance of The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong. The topic of the video is "Being the Master of e-Payment System".
